Lacquered Provenance Chest

An antique Georgian bowfront bachelor’s three-drawer chest from the early 1800s, with established provenance to a European imperial collection, carefully refurbished and reimagined by DiVinci Painters.

Finished in Benjamin Moore Old Navy and sealed in an Italian high-gloss lacquer, the chest’s curved bowfront façade enhances depth and reflectivity without visual heaviness. Drawer fronts are wrapped in Schumacher grasscloth, introducing refined texture and contrast against the lacquered frame. Original brass hardware has been preserved, providing warmth and a classical counterbalance to the contemporary finish.

Each piece is selected individually and refined through DiVinci Painters’ proprietary seven-step finishing process, achieving exceptional depth, durability, and long-term performance. Finished exclusively for M on the Square.
